Oxford City Whites Found Guilty Of Fielding Ineligible Players

Rushden & Diamonds Youth Team's Football Conference Youth Alliance League Cup fixture against Oxford City Whites, which was due to be played on Wednesday 6^th January will now be cancelled.

This is because the opposition, Oxford City Whites have been removed from the competition due to fielding ineligible players in their 3-2 win over Birmingham City Whites in the previous round.

Oxford City Whites now have a period of time in which to appeal the decision.

It is expected, if Oxford's appeal is not successful, that Birmingham City Whites will be re-instated, in which case the fixture will be arranged in due course.

The Youth Team's next fixture is against Oxford City Blues in the Football Conference Youth Alliance, at Oxford on Wednesday 13^th January 2010, with kick off at 2:00pm.
