Rushden & Diamonds Youth Team will play Leighton Town in the First Round Qualifying of the FA Youth Cup this season on Wednesday 23^rd September 2009 with kick off at 7:45pm.

Leighton Town come from Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire, where the club play in the Zamaretto League (Southern League) Division One Midlands. The Diamonds progressed through the preliminary round by beating Stewarts & Lloyds from Corby 9-0.

As a result of this FA Youth Cup fixture taking precedent, the Youth Team's Football Conference Youth Alliance fixture against Oxford United has been moved to Wednesday 28^th October 2009, with kick off at 2:00pm.
