Rushden & Diamonds U18s produced a solid performance at the Prostar Stadium to make it into the Midland Youth Cup Final. The only goal of the game in the 1-0 victory over Shrewsbury Town came after a long ball forward from Lewis Hallford was headed over the keeper by the unfortunate Shrews captain Harry Hooman on 75 minutes.

Diamonds will meet Port Vale in the Final, who beat Grimsby Town in the other semi-final last Wednesday. The date and venue has still to be confirmed.
