Kurt Robinson joined the Diamonds on a permanent basis prior to the start of the 2009-10 season. This followed a successful period on loan with the club from Ipswich Town for the first part of 2009. An initial one month loan in January 2009 was extended for the remainder of the season, and when he was released by Ipswich at the end of the season he signed for the Diamonds in mid-May 2009.  After a succesful 2009-10 season with the club he signed terms to stay at Nene Park for a further season in early June 2010.

Commenting on Kurt's signing on a permanent basis in the summer of 2009, Justin Edinburgh said, "People from Ipswich had watched him and seen him doing well. We're delighted to keep him because he has shown great maturity, desire and hunger to do better. He isn't happy just to be here. He feels that he can grow and learn as a player. Kurt loves this club and has already settled by feeling comfortable in these surroundings.

He has certainly coped with the physical side of the Blue Square Premier. That can be a problem for some youngsters coming out of academies. Others take their time or can't cope at all. But, just like Curtis Osano when he first came from Reading, we've seen Kurt adapt well to everything. He's also an example of the type of player who we want here with 100 per cent committed performances."

The left sided full back was aged 19 when he signed for the Diamonds, and has had academy spells at West Ham Utd and Southend United before progressing from the Ipswich academy but did not play a first team fixture for 'The Tractor Boys'. In November 2008, Robinson had a loan spell at Northampton Town. He has also represented England at Under 17 level.

He made his Diamonds debut in the FA Trophy game at Torquay United on 10th January 2009. He then made his league debut in the Blue Square Premier the following weekend in the 1-0 defeat by Ebbsfleet United on 17th January.

He scored his first goal for the club with the ninth and final goal against Weymouth on 21st February 2009.
