Attacking central midfielder Joe Keehan signed for Rushden & Diamonds in early June 2010.
The twenty-three year old midfielder started his career at Worthing, later signing for Crawley, breaking into their Conference side at the age of seventeen. In 2006 Joe signed for Eastbourne Borough, rejoining Worthing in 2007.
Since the 2008/09 season Keehan has been playing at Lewes, where he has impressed as a goalscoring midfielder, bagging an impressive nineteen goals from central midfield last season as the Rooks avoided relegation by two points.

Manager Justin Edinburgh commented on the signing "Nineteen goals last season in a team that only just stayed up, with nine in the previous season in a Conference side that went down - I think that speaks for itself, and midfield player that gets that many goals from midfield is without a doubt a good player."
He made his first team debut in the Hillier Senior Cup game against Daventry United on 12th October 2010. He then went on to make his league debut on 13th November 2010 in the 1-1 draw at Fleetwood Town.

In mid-December 2010 he went on loan to Conference South Woking for one month. He made his debut for the Cards in the FA Trophy on 11th December. After completing the loan he returned to play in the Hillier Cup game on 12th January 2011.

He then had a period on loan with Havant & Waterlooville during early 2011, returning to the club at the start of March 2011.
