Justin Edinburgh: we're becoming a team

Posted on: Mon 06 Sep 2010

Curtis Osano probably the best player on the pitch, he's not new to the role at centre half, but still learning his trade, you get the feeling he could still develop more.

Oh without a doubt, he's got everything you require in the modern day game, good pace, a very good touch, he's comfortable in possession of the ball, physically he can deal with anything that's thrown at him, and I made a conscious decision to move him there this year because he remains in the game for long periods of time, whereas at right back I think he tends to maybe drift in and out of the game, but at centre half we're utilising all those assets I just spoke about to the full potential.

No doubt he'll be on many peoples radars, and if he continues to play like that then who knows, but he's a lovely lad, great to work with and long may that continue.

That's 3 wins in 6 days, not bad is it!

Nope, I think a lot of people had become anxious after the start, but I was confident in terms of the performances, players were getting fitter. There were a lot of reasons, not excuses, but reasons why we were going to start slow. But I'm delighted for the group of players that have gone 3 games on the bounce in 6 days, and have earned there days rest now.

Is this just about where you wanted to be at the end of August, just below the playoffs.

I think so, we are certainly where we want to be - at the right end, in and around the pack. After a sluggish start it seems like we're becoming a team, so I'm certainly delighted with the last few games in terms of results, the performances are getting better and its good to get 3 points on the road for the first time this season.
