How are you settling in at the club?
All the lads have been really nice and welcoming - they are a great bunch of lads, and there is great team spirit as well. We are all sticking together during pre-season to get through the fitness work.
The first week is always the worst isn't it?
Yes, it's always hard coming back from the break, but everyone has been keeping fit and ready to go for the season. We'll just get through pre-season and top our fitness up, and then we'll be ready.
Presumably the team spirit has carried over from last season and that makes it a good group to come into?
Obviously they did really well last season. As soon as I arrived they made me feel welcome - it's just like being at home, and everyone gets on with each other.
It's a change for you after your time at Luton from a young age ?
It's hard to start again, but it's been like coming into a club that I've always been with, as they've made me so welcome.
Did you know any of the lads before coming here?
I know Lee Tomlin, as we played in Youth Teams against each other quite a lot - we used to have a little battle between us, on either team - but he's a good player that I admire, and he did really well last season.
How are you looking forwards to the new season?
We've got a really good team here, and I seriously think we'll be challenging for promotion, if not going up automatically. The team here is young and enthusiastic and combined with the experienced players we should be challenging.
What about the manager?
He was one of the main reasons I came here. When I went to meet with him he seemed really nice, and he said to me that this is a good place to come and show what I am about. My last two seasons have been injury prone, but this year I am ready to go and really fit, and he said that he'd give me a chance, so hopefully I can get in the starting XI and kick on from there.
So you feel you have a point to prove in terms of fitness and playing games?
Yes, I started playing in League 1, and was doing really well, but my injuries have let me down, and I've not really had a chance to prove what I've got. Hopefully I'll get a full season and everyone will see what I am about.
Do you set yourself targets in terms of goals and appearances?
Obviously I just want to get as many as I can. When I get on that pitch I'm just looking to score goals and to bring something to the team. I'm going to work hard for the team, get my goals and hopefully push the team up the league and get promoted.
Do you see yourself as a Centre Forward or a wide player?
Both, really - I can play out wide or play in the middle. I just look for goals to be honest. I'm a goalscorer, and I also bring other people into play by beating defenders - and that's what I like to do.
