We spoke to Justin Edinburgh ahead of the first of Rushden & Diamonds pre-season friendlies tonight at Brackley

So, Pre season and pre season friendlies, including Devon, are these an opportunity for fitness or is there a possibility you might consider using trialists or even look at players in the opposition teams?

Well we have two trialists with us at the present time and they're the only two that have come to the club. We'll use both of them in the first two games at Brackley and at home to Peterborough but I imagine that if they show well and they're the right players for this football club and we keep them, then we'll add them to our squad but other than that it'll be the players that we've signed but there'll be no more trialists right now other than the two we already have.

In the first two games, everyone will get forty-five minutes each, then we'll go to Devon and in the first two games everyone will get between seventy-five and ninety minutes under their belt and then we'll look to progress from there and try and mould down the team and the system and see who's going to grab the shirt.
