Posted on: Sat 10 Jul 2010

Rushden & Diamonds have signed Max York, a central midfielder formerly with Histon.

Max York started his career with Cambridge United and then Histon's academy - making 6 appearances last season for the Histon first team after becoming a member of the senior squad at Christmas.

We spoke to Max following the announcement of his signing, he said "I'm glad to have signed for a club like Rushden & Diamonds, they've got a great set up and amazing facilities. I'm looking forward to playing my part in the team and I just can't wait to get started and stuck in."

We also asked what sort of style fans could expect from Max in the middle of the park "I think I'm sort of like a 90 minute midfielder - box to box. I spoke to the Manager as to what sort of role he is looking for and I'll be happy to play it!"
