Rushden & Diamonds can today announce the signing of attacking central midfielder Joe Keehan.

The twenty-three year old midfielder started his career at Worthing, later signing for Crawley, breaking into their Conference side at the age of seventeen. In 2006 Joe signed for Eastbourne Borough, rejoining Worthing in 2007.

Since the 2008/09 season Keehan has been playing at Lewes, where he has impressed as a goalscoring midfielder, bagging an impressive nineteen goals from central midfield last season as the Rooks avoided relegation by two points.

Manager Justin Edinburgh commented "Nineteen goals this season in a team that only just stayed up, with nine last year in a Conference side that went down - I think that speaks for itself, and midfield player that gets that many goals from midfield is without a doubt a good player."
