Justin Edinburgh looks ahead to Saturdays trip to Tamworth in our preview - we asked about how he sees the squad going into the end of season run in, and how the 'ugly' side of Diamonds impressed on Wednesday

In terms of performance, togetherness and the attitude we did so well on Wednesday night. Obviously we've got less recovery than normal so it's going to take a huge effort from us to go and reproduce but that's just one defeat in ten now in the league, so we just want to try and continue that momentum through March really, because the games will still be coming thick and fast, we've lost players and Macca will be out for three games now so we are down to the minimum and only have sixteen fit for Saturday.

We saw another side of the team on Wednesday, it's all good putting four or six against Barrow and Hayes but it's not going to happen every week, those ugly 1-0 wins are priceless really aren't they?

Well I did say it was a tough place to go as they'd only lost three games before and they'd drawn six or seven and won five so I don't think anyone's going to find it easy to go there. They're still very direct but it wasn't through open play that we were under any pressure, it was from either a long throw or a set piece but I think those kind of performances will take us a long way, we now know that if someone wants to play football we can play football and if someone wants to try and 'rough us' then we're capable of standing up to the task so I think it shows both sides to this squad really and no more than Wednesday.

Defensively obviously, it must be very pleasing for you, so many clean sheets lately and you haven't conceded from open play, hopefully that'll continue.

We have only got five defenders on our books but I'd class all of them as first team players and between them, they've been outstanding and have kept some good teams at bay and it's given us a good foundation. Like you said we're not always going to be free scoring, we have been at times but I think of late we haven't scored as many as we could have done cause we've certainly have had chances to do so but it does give us a chance to win the games 1-0 which we have done.

Again it's a team effort, it not just about the back four. Dale hasn't really had that much to do has he but the midfielders and strikers do play their part as well.

Yes well I think we score as a team and we defend as a team. I though Jefferson Louis for fifty five minutes led the line on his own, running on to his own flick ons, held up very well and worked the line continuously but denied any time by their defence so the work ethic of the squad is right and I think that's what's took us as far as it has, we know that if we can continue the work rate then we're going to win more than we're going to lose but certainly the defensive side has given us a good foundation for us to go on and win games.
