Justin Edinburgh: Nothing will be won or lost on Saturday

Posted on: Fri 26 Feb 2010

So Justin, a big game coming up on Saturday?

Yeah, I think it's hard - understanding the bragging rights and what it means to the fans, we'll just have to treat it as another game, and nothing's going to be decided or won or lost on Saturday but obviously we can feel the game getting close with the build up and anticipation building so it's a case of continuing to do the same things, playing the match rather than the occasion.

It's not just a local derby of course, it's all about who finishes in the top five and they're only a point before now.

Yeah I know, but we want to win every game and the importance is the playoffs. They're the best away team in the league so we're under no illusions of how tough the task is but on the other side of it we're in good form and I know playing and managing in derbies that the form book gets thrown out of the window for some reason and odd results happen or the form book is turned on it's head but I suppose we're two in form sides, they're obviously good away from home and we're good overall so I'm sure it's going to be a good game.

You've been in very good form at home as well in the last several home games.

Yeah, so it's billing up to be a very good game.

You saw them on Tuesday, what do you make of them, I understand you left early, had you seen enough after an hour?

It was 3-0 when I left, I didn't see the Tamworth goal but credit to Kettering, they went about their business professionally and on the day could have probably won by a few more goals, but I'd like to think we'd give them a tougher test than Tamworth did on the night and it'll be a sterling challenge.
