Jamie Stuart: If I score, I'll celebrate
We spoke to Jamie about Saturday's match and his time at Grays.
Lets look ahead to Grays, because I understand they're going to try and sweeten you up pre game with an award as well, how does that feel?
Yeah, it's nice to go back there and see old faces and to pick the award up which is from the fans which means a lot and it'll be very nice.
To get that award, does that show the kind of connection you had during the time you were captain, you were there for a long time as well, do you still feel a real connection to Grays?
There's a little side of me that does feel a little bit, I had some very good years there and met some good people there but I've moved on from there now, so first and foremost I want to get three points.
Just a few more words on Grays, what do you think of them?
To be honest with you I don't really know at the moment. I know they've had another seven or eight players come in recently, not sure if there are any players there now that were there when I was there, not sure about the staff either, there might be a couple of staff at the burger bars that I know but that's about it! They're struggling but they've got some new players coming in so they'll want to impress the manager, so I think the first twenty minutes might be like it always is, hard work and graft and if we win the battle I'm sure we'll come into our own and come out on top.
You're scoring goals. You're pushing towards your target, so a goal against Grays, would you celebrate it?
Course I would, without a shadow of a doubt, a goal means more chance of us winning so that's more important to me at the moment, so if I do score I'll be celebrating, not too much but I will celebrate.
No cartwheels then?
I can't do them anyway (laughs)
