Justin talks to us about the opposition ahead of Grays.
Many changes at Grays in recent times, does that distance you from you old club now with so many new people?
Well I am always grateful that Grays gave me the opportunity, I think many people may look back and now underestimate the job I was doing at the time. I think I assembled a very good squad there, Jon Ashton and Danny Kedwell went on to be sold, so I know the job that I did was a very good one, perhaps at the time it was looked upon as not being very successful, things have changed, new owners, no players there now that I know so I've got no real attachment to the football club but obviously grateful that I was given the opportunity to go and manager there.
How much do you know about them going into this fixture?
We had them watched, tried to get a little bit more information from other people who have played against them but since the big turnover of players over the last couple of weeks, they've had two games and have had two defeats and we've got to go there and expect a tough game, they're desperate for points like we are but at opposite ends of the table. We know they're a new side, so at any given stage they could click and players could gel and produce a good performance, we've got to make sure that isn't against us and make sure we're on our game and not complacent and try and go there and collect three points so if people around us slip up, we're in a position to jump up into those playoff positions.
How's the fitness of you squad going into this one?
We'll still be without Curtis Osano and Cliff Akurang. Both won't be available for the game, but other than that we're a fully fit squad so it's healthy, we know we aren't the biggest of squads but we've been good with injuries and hopefully that can continue.
You've played nearly everybody now in the Blue Square Premier, what's your impression of the league as a whole and where you fit into that?
I think it's a competitive league, no real runaway leader, probably only Stevenage and Oxford who have got a realistic chance and York an outside chance of winning the league, one other team would have to go on a phenomenal run to influence that and then there's probably eight teams going for the next few playoff places, so it's competitive and as good as I've known it to be. Its open and really at this stage the playoffs are very competitive. Ourselves, I'd say in terms of budget we're outside the top ten and in terms of finances and attendances, so as far as I'm concerned we're punching well above our weight and that's testament to my squad and they deserve all the accolades they get, perhaps not as many as they should but we're certainly achieving well above our status as I see it.
