From a personal point of view, obviously you got a couple of goals up there and the other night got one as well, are you sharing set pieces now with Tommo?
Yeah, the manager has spoken to me about them and he asked me take them on Tuesday and the goal that I scored on Tuesday night was almost exactly the same as the goal I scored in pre season in Barnstaple. I fancied it so luckily for me I stepped up and it went in. I haven't scored for a while and it's been a frustrating time, in the first half the Workington keeper made a fabulous save and I don't think I could have done much more about it but it was nice to get back on the scoresheet.
In terms of clear cut chances, that was probably the pick of the lot wasn't it?
Yeah and it wasn't even really a clear cut one, I got above my defender at the back post and the keeper got across well and made a good save and I was thinking it's not one of those games again but luckily for me in the second half, the free kick went in.
How do you see that, obviously you haven't scored for a while but you're still playing every game and working hard and setting things up?
Yeah, I think if you look at me I'm probably not a thirty goals a season man but what I do give to the team is that I work as hard as I possibly can and I give a lot to the side that maybe sometimes natural goalscorers don't. I always hope that the manager sees that while I don't score many, I do give a lot of things to the team and I'm grateful for the manager for seeing me like that and it was nice on Tuesday to get one to my name.
And just finally, what do you make of the formation change that's happened in the last few weeks?
Well I've played it in quite a lot of my career for different clubs and for the Kidderminster game I played down the middle and on Tuesday night I played in the right which I don't mind doing, so if I'm honest I don't mind either way whether it's in a two, the middle of the three or the right of the three. At a lot of clubs I've played at, when you play 4-3-3, it's basically a 4-5-1 and it can be frustrating as you never seem to be up front, you seem to be defending all the time but the way we've set out is more of a 4-3-3 and with the personnel we've got it does suit us, in the sense that you've got Paul Terry there and you've got Byrne and Max as well and with the personnel up front we can change it a bit.
