Injury wise, what's the situation?
I think Aaron and Cliff may still be unavailable for Saturday but obviously we'll bring Sam Smith back into the fray after being cup tied on Tuesday. I think Saturday might come too soon for Aaron and Cliff but I would expect both of them to available for the game on Tuesday against Wrexham.
What's the situation with Jefferson Louis?
His loan ends after the weekend and I'll be speaking to the chairman to discuss the financial situation there and we'll make a decision after the weekend really.
Any further new in terms of the transfer window?
No, not really, one or two have gone dead and I had one or two options but I think if it went beyond that, I would settle with what I have. Because I don't just want to bring someone in for the sake of it. I always want to make sure that the players that we bring in improve the quality of the squad rather than increasing numbers, so at the present time we're no further really to bringing anyone in, things change but if it isn't to be, we've got enough here and we'll continue to press on.
Like you said it wasn't a bad performance on Tuesday, so there's not need to make wholesale changes for this game.
Well, no. I'm not going to sit here and criticise the attitude or effort of the players, I thought we passed the ball well on a difficult surface and I think the only thing that let us down after reviewing the game was probably our final pass or our final ball and we lacked quality in the final third really which maybe let us down. But we've hit the post and their keeper made a couple of saves so we had chances to not have lost the game.
So in terms of changes, we've got games coming thick and fast, we may look to rotate one or two positions but we've got the likes of Sam Smith and Rob Wolleaston coming back, so we may look to juggle the pack a little bit.
Do you feel Rob Wolleaston is ready to start now?
Well I think you can wait and wait, but I think what we've got to realise is that we play twice a week almost right through now so I'm not really going to be able to get Rob minutes from anything other than in the first team action, so I've got to be careful that I don't throw him back in too early but he has been training enough now and has had two games where he's come on and looked pretty sharp so he certainly isn't too far away from starting a game.
He's also probably one of those where it suits him to come into the formation that you've changed to. It seems to suit everybody in the squad really.
Well I think that's the case, I think with the way we were setting up earlier in the season with the 4-4-2 suited the personnel and the personnel that were in form. Recently teams have come and sat in front of us and packed down and we found it difficult to get wide players on the ball, certainly with Tommo who has found it difficult, so with the amount of central midfield players we have and the amount of strikers I think it suits us but we have enough flexibility within the squad to change back to the 4-4-2 during the game or whenever, so I certainly feel that at present it would suit Rob perfectly coming into that midfield.
