We chatted to Justin ahead of both bank holiday fixtures as part of the Stevenage Preview (which can be found by clicking here) we also chatted to Matt Pattison about life at R&DFC and the Bank Holiday fixtures.

Matt, you were playing with Woking last year. You're playing for Rushden & Diamonds now. How have you found the transition?

It was difficult at first, I'm coming to a different environment that's a lot better than what Woking had to be fair. Picked up a couple of injuries, a couple of niggling injuries in pre-season, which didn't help the transition one little bit. I sort of played catch up the whole of pre-season. I think that was reflected in the fact I didn't start in the first few games, but now I find myself starting and enjoying it a lot more.

The last couple of games I guess. Six goals in the last two games, you've been influential, certainly in the last one. Is that the style of play you enjoy playing in?

Yeah. I think even in the games I wasn't playing in the boys were threatening to score a few goals, which didn't actually come, but I'm pleased they came when I was in the team. But disappointed they didn't get more points when I wasn't. But yeah, I'm enjoying the way we're playing, scoring goals.

What do you consider to be you position? Right midfield or right winger?

What's the difference?! I like getting forward, so you could say I prefer to play right wing, obviously you have more responsibility playing right midfield just getting back more, to get back defensively and help out the team. Anywhere, I'm happy to play.

In your previous life, scoring attributes, have you scored many goals?

I didn't score many last year, I think I scored one last year. The season before that, I scored a few I think it was nine. So I'm looking to recreate my first year at Woking rather than my last year at Woking.

It's always difficult over a bank holiday. Two games in three days, one could construe these kind of games as local derbies, Stevenage and Cambridge. What happens in training the week before? I guess its good you don't have a Tuesday night game this week! Is there a concentration on one game more than the other?

I don't think so really. We've had a good week to prepare, sure Mike will give us the low down on where these teams can cause us problems or where we can find their weaknesses out nearer to the games. But no, had a good week to prepare, so looking forward to it.

And two teams that did very well last year, Cambridge almost got promotion, but you must be full of confidence in the side, bearing in mind those two results?

Yeah, definitely. What we've done in the last two games, we want to take into the next two games and hopefully come out with the same results. I know the other two teams are struggling, not having the start they wanted, but we want to keep their bad run going and our good one going.

And finally, you mentioned you came into pre-season not fully fit. You're fully fit now and hope to continue to see the best of you?

Yep, fully fit, no injuries. Touch wood I won't get any more injures, so raring to go!
