Following the announcement of a home pre-season fixture against Coca-Cola Championship side Peterborough forcing the postponement of the Corby fixture. Rushden & Diamonds and Corby Town have been in talks to secure a new date for the game.

The pre-season fixture at the Rockingham Triangle will now take place a day earlier than originally scheduled, on Monday 27^th July 2009, with kick off at 7:45pm.
