Craig Farrell Joins Rushden & Diamonds
Rushden & Diamonds have agreed a deal with York City for striker Michael Rankine. We would like to wish Michael the best of luck for the future at York City. The Diamonds will receive York City Striker Craig Farrell, plus a fee from the Minstermen in exchange for the striker.
Justin Edinburgh commented "Craig had a loan spell at Oxford at the end of last season, when they began their excellent run. I'm happy to get him and he's a good player. It's an excellent bit of business for the club and I feel we've got an excellent striker, I'm certainly looking forward to working with him and I think the crowd will quickly warm to him.
He has got a great work ethic, he's a clever player with a good first touch - he'll certainly chip in with his share of goals. He's always done well against my teams in the past when we've played against him and I'm certainly glad to have him on board."

Farrell started his career as a junior with Middlesbrough and later Leeds United, moving to Carlisle after a loan move was made permanent, after scoring 20 goals in 80 appearances he moved to Exeter City and then York City.
