Diamonds will face Rothwell Corinthians in the Second Round of the NFA Hillier Cup

Rushden & Diamonds beat Rothwell Town 2-0 in the First Round of the NFA Hillier Cup, with goals from Dean McDonald and Michael Rankine, while Rothwell Corinthians received a bye. The draw for the Second Round gave the Diamonds a second team from Rothwell to face at Nene Park.

Rothwell Corinthians play in the United Counties League Premier Division after they won promotion at the end of last season, following thirteen years in Division One. They are managed by Frank Lelapi and this is the first time they have taken part in this competition.
