Rushden & Diamonds defender/midfielder Scott Mitchell has today gone on loan to Blue Square North side Kings Lynn until January 2009.

Mitchell started his career at Ipswich, moving up to Scottish Division One side Livingstone, where he made over 40 appearances before moving back to England to play for Peterborough at the end of last season.

The 22 year old signed for the Diamonds during the close season after impressing manager Garry Hill as a trialist in the pre-season fixtures. He has however struggled to gain first team action in the 2008/09 Blue Square Premier campaign so far.
