Tom Shaw leaves Rushden & Diamonds

Posted on: Mon 14 Jul 2008

Rushden & Diamonds FC have today agreed to cancel the contract of midfield player Tom Shaw by mutual consent, as he was not expected to feature in manager Garry Hill's plans for the forthcoming season.

Tom felt that, with the recent changes that were going on at the club, his chances next season would be limited, and thus it is a good time for him to seek out fresh challenges.

He stressed he would like to pass on his thanks to the supporters, and all those at the club who have supported him in his six years at Nene Park.

Twenty-one year-old Tom played in over 50 games for the club, having joined the youth setup at Nene Park in the 2002-03 season.

Rushden & Diamonds FC would also like to thank Tom for all of his efforts, and wish him well for the future.
