Rushden & Diamonds Ladies FC

Rushden & Diamonds Ladies have been renamed Wellingborough Diamonds prior to the start of the forthcoming season. Having formed at Nene Park in 1998 following a move from Northampton, the club quickly achieved promotion to the South East Combination where they have established themselves as promotion contenders.

For the past two years, home games have been played at the "Dog & Duck" Wellingborough Town FC and with the club having to fund themselves independently; sponsorship from Rotational Plastic Solutions (GB) Ltd has been crucial over the past year.

With continued support and sponsorship from RPS boss David Clingo (now Chairman at Wellingborough Town FC), the new name reflects the aspirations of their hosts and retains the original link with Rushden & Diamonds.
