Andy became the first Diamonds player to achieve 200 appearamces for the club. He started his career in the youth set up at Northampton Town, but failed to make it into the first team. After a short spell at Bedworth United, he joined Rushden Town and was one of thirteen players to move to the newly formed Rushden & Diamonds in the summer of 1992. A warehouse manager in Leather sales and distribution by trade, he established himself in the team, although injuries meant that he didn't make that 200th appearance until 16 August 1997 against Northwch Victoria. He played just five more games for Diamonds, before going out on loan to Nuneaton Borough in December 1997. During his stay at Nene Park, the defender scored just once - at Halesowen in November 1992. 

 

 

After leaving Diamonds, Andy spent time with Raunds Town and Wealdstone, before a five year spell with Stamford. In 2005 he moved to Rugby Town, before joining several other of his former colleagues at Wellingborough Town in the summer of 2006. After obtaining his coaching badges, the following summer he joined Long Buckby as assistant manager to another former Diamond - Adie Mann. In January 2009, he joined Daventry Town, again as player/assistant manager, before taking up the managerial post at UCL side Northampton Spencer on 19 June 2009. Another former Diamond, Kevin Slinn is his assistant there. Andy still coaches at the Diamonds acadamy.
