Striker Justin Jackson joined the Diamonds at the start of their Conference winning campaign, and his 20 goals were a key factor in the team winning promotion that season.

He joined the club from Morecambe, where he had been a prolific goalscorer, something he repeated at the Diamonds, with his willingness to run at defenders creating a powerful partnership with Duane Darby.

He was quickly discarded by Brian Talbot after the club reached the Football League, being given only five league starts to adjust to the league game before being sold to Doncaster Rovers, and replaced by Scott Partridge.

After an unsuccessful period at Doncaster he moved on to Accrington Stanley, and then to several other non-league clubs including Brackley Town, Corby Town and Bromsgrove Rovers, where he linked up again with Duane Darby. Although currently without a club, he was on trial with Unibond Division One North side Lancaster City during July 2009.
