Andy earned his first contract as a teenager with local side Peterborough United and earned several England Youth Caps. He had made his debut for the Posh at the age of 16 in November 1993 against Bristol City, and scored his only goal for them in the reverse fixture at the end of the season. His appearances were limited over the next few seasons, amd he was released in May 1996. The young striker joined Diamonds in August 1996 and made his debut as a second half substitute in Diamonds first Conference victory at Halifax Town on 7 September. Appearances in the starting eleven were rare however and he came off the bench for most of his games. After just 12 appearances, he was released in 1998 and joined Nuneaton Borough. After periods with Grantham AFC and Stamford, he joined Wisbech Town in 2000 where he spent some four years. In 2004, he joined Soham Town Rangers before returning to Wisbech Town in July 2010. On 5 May 2011, he rejoined Southern League Division One Central side Soham Town Rangers as player/manager.
