Sheffield-born goalkeeper Kevin Fox was one of many players to joined the Diamonds from Rushden Town when the club was formed, but injury meant that his debut was delayed until midway through their inaugural season. He had previously played a few games in the Football League for Lincoln City before moving to East Northants, firstly to play for Kettering, then Rushden Town, then Wellingborough Town before a second spell with Rushden Town. He stayed with the Diamonds for three seasons, before being released to join Raunds Town. He went on to play for Rothwell Town before becoming assistant manager at Corby Town. His managerial career has also included responsibilities at Rothwell Town, Stewards & Lloyds and Whitworths. At the end of the 2008-09 season he was assistant manager at Wellingborough Town, but left there following a management reshuffle.
